Projector Recommendation
 

I'm looking for a projector recommendation. My current projector is an HP XB31, about a 2002 vintage. It weighs 3.5 lbs, has XGA resolution, and is adequately bright. It cost ~$2500 when I purchased it. Now I could use an additional projector, and I wonder what the last three years worth of technology has wrought.

Most important to me are: low noise, adequate brightness for rooms that are not completely dark and light weight/small size.

I will use mostly for powerpoint presentations. Since sometimes we have tables with small type, good resolution is important. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but I do have the budget for good quality, and cost is not a major factor in the decision.

Hands on experience--especially regarding noise level, image quality, and road warrior ruggedness would be helpful.
