BlackBerry Browser Configuration problem

I'm the proud owner of a new BlackBerry 7230 (free from the United Airlines promo, with paid subscription to T-Mobile service).

I'm gradually learning all the bells and whistles on it, and after having it a few weeks, came to realize that it should actually be able to display images on websites! For some reason, I had assumed it would be capable of displaying only text, and for a lot of websites, that is just fine. But then I tried Mobile SeatGuru on it (http://mobile.seatguru.com), and it didn't show the seat maps. :( Furthermore, the BlackBerry menu did NOT show "More Images" or "All Images" for this particular site (although it DOES for some sites, such as FlyerTalk). I e-mailed SeatGuru for help, and he responded that I should use Options, Browser Configuration, and enable the Show Images feature on WML & HTML (and make sure the Content Mode includes HTML).

Unfortunately, when I click Browser Configuration, it just gives me an error: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.illegalArgumentException".

I searched on various websites (including the BlackBerry, BlackBerry Forums, and T-Mobile sites), in documentation (including the 7230 User Guide and similar guides), and on Google with no luck in resolving this problem.

Should I try sending the BlackBerry another service book (I can do this from the T-Mobile website, IIRC), or should I break down and call T-Mobile phone support ( )?

Anyone have a clue as to what is happening?

My BlackBerry has version 3.7.1.41, by the way.

Step 1) Upgrade to OS 4, 3.71 is old... very old...

Once you have done that, try again, and if needed call for help again :)

The old OS couldn't run Javascript, the new one can, big difference.

Thanks for the fast response! ^

And to speed up the process, how do I upgrade the OS? (Have pity on me, I'm a BlackBerry and PDA newbie.... previous cell phone was ONLY a phone and nearly SIX years old! )
