Bose Q2 connectors for United
 

When I purchased by Q2 I thought they told me it came iwth the connector for the plane ports for music and movies. I usually don't view the movies or listen to music. Last week, I tried to use one of the adapter plugs that came with the Bose and it did not fit. It is the two pronged adapter. Am I missing anything?

The two ports on UA are for their special noise cancelling headphones..just plug your single 3.5mm plug into the smaller of the two plugs and it will work fine..no adapter required.

Last time I flew in C, the 3.5mm (1/8") jack was the larger one. I don't routinely travel with a tiny ruler, but I think the small plug is a 2.5mm (3/32") jack, which is what's on your cell phone headsets.

On United, so far every aircraft that I've tried them on (A3xx, B777's, B744's), the standard 1/8" (3.5 mm) plug works fine, without the need for the dual plug adapter (provided).

Me too and they work fine.
