Rio Kharma
 

I am considering getting a Rio Kharma MP3 player - lots of storage, reasonable price. This model was introduced in January but now seems to have disappeared except for a few places. Anyone know why?

Has anyone ever used this model and if so, what are your thoughts.

First of all, it is the "Karma", not "Kharma". Secondly, it was introduced January LAST year and is pretty much end of life hence the lack of finding it...

It is my favorite player and has many features not found in other players, though many of these features might not be stuff you need.

Why not just stick to an ipod like everyone else?

It's been officially discontinued, at least according to Gizmodo. There's a bunch of places still selling them according to Pricegrabber

I love my Karma but one has to imagine it is tough to compete with the apple marketing gurus with unlimited ad budgets....
