Pros and cons of Fujitsu P1120
Continuing on from my wife's thread on ultra small laptops.
We have looked at alternatives suggested, but for our purposes the Fujitsu P1120 meets the criteria (the JVC XP741 is nice but expensive and I won't use the power). Is there anyone with experience with the P1120 that can pass on any useful information? Thanks Leon |
First of all; it is very slow. The Transmeta chip is extremely underpowered. Also, the screen really is on the small side with a fairly low resolution, do not expect to sit down and do a days work on this machine.
On the plus side, it has fairly decent battery life. |
Here's a message board where the devotees of P1120's hang out. Lots of good information there.

One further note. The support staff at Fujitsu is the absolute best that I have ever dealt with. I've had a S6110 for a couple of years and used their support service on 3 occasions. The first time was a DOA cd-burner when I purchased the unit. The last two times were my fault (a couple of nasty drops). In each case, never more than a 2 minute wait on the phone. When I got a technician, they were always knowledgeable and thorough. Always a quick resolutuion.
