Firefox wigging out on sites

Anyone else notice that some popular sites like travelocity.com, yahoomail seem not to be working correctly if you're using firefox?

Both work just fine for me...

Don't know about travelocity, but yahoo mail works pretty well, except you can't format your emails, which IMO isn't too big a deal. Still lots of pros to a very few cons when deciding to use Firefox over IE! ^

Firefox quits on me when I "Print Selection" from AA.com and change city in Travelocity's Dream Map. So far these two pages consistently crashes Firefox. Other than that, Firefox rocks!

I have been having lots of problems with FireFox and Hertz.com, specificaly if I try to find locations (i.e. search for locations in PHL for example).

Anybody else have the same problem?

Any differences betwwen the versions downloaded and the version offered by Firefox?

I want to try Firefox but isn't sure if I should download it from the web? Firefox offer version (about$6). Are there any differences in the two versions? Can Firefox be run side by side with IE?

Thanks for any info.

I would not pay for a version

The free version is likely all you need. And yes, Firefox and IE can coexist (and even run at the same time) on one machine.

I've found Hertz.com to be one of the worst websites out there in terms of compatibility with security software (IE cookie blocking, firewalls and spyware/adware prevention programs). If you're running any of these (IOW, if you are practicing any kind of 'safe computing') you may run into problems with Hertz.com.

In terms of IE6 v. Firefox, I actually have had fewer problems with Hertz.com on Firefox once I got all my security programs set to allow Hertz to cookie the cr*p out of me.

wow wow wow, wait a minute, who is offering firefox for a price ? FIREFOX IS FREE... there is no 6 dollar cost.

GET FIRE FOX HERE

And yes there are some web pages that have minor and sometimes major issues with this new browser. But in the one year I have been using it, i have noticed a massive increase in usability.

Note that you still have to use Internet Explorer to run windows update. So you cant get rid of IE just yet :) :p

Mozilla offers the Firefox/Thunderbird set as a CD that you can buy for $6.95, and get guidebooks, other merchandise OR you can download the files. They are the same exact thing, and actually, downloading would be guaranteed to be more current than purchasing their cd. I'm not really sure what the benefit of buying the cd would be, but I guess some people do it or they wouldnt bother making them.

Avis is in the same league. I had to go into Norton Internet Security and specifically permit avis.com
