Firefox does not recognize the "Ins" button on my keyboard
 
Tried to use the Ins button on my keyboard to type over a word and it just flat out doesn't work. Anyone else share this same problem?

If other experience similar problems, then it may be a bug in the early releases of the browser. I downloaded my brower about 2 months ago.

Mine's the same, but frankly, I never noticed until I saw your post.

I never use the Ins key to overtype; I always either delete first and type, or mark/highlight and type.

Where exactly are you trying to use the [Ins] key?

Insert/Overwrite mode toggling that works in word processing applications (such as WinWord), does not apply to standard text input fields in Windows (e.g. it won't work in Notepad).

Yeah, it doesn't seem to work in the Internet Explorer address bar either.

But it works in IE. I think that's his point . . . Firefox does everything else so well, but it doesn't replicate this behavior of IE's.
