free wireless connection manager software?

Is there free software like Intel Pro Wireless or whatever to manage wireless connections? This is for an old PC (Toshiba Tecra 9000) that is not centrino (if that makes any difference?).

Thanks.

Try the free T-Mobile connection manager. I've used it for a while and it's OK:

Their website claims it's "coming soon" (as is a PalmOS version) but unfortunately no specifics. For now you must be running Win98/ME/2K/XP to run this...

T-Mobile now uses 802.11g std Wifi in most places and doesn't doesn't technically need it's own connectoin mgmt software for any device. The software it provides is mostly for convenience with those users running laptops.

I recommend configuring your PDA for a normal unsecured wifi access point with SSID = "tmobile". That's all I do on my laptop. I have not tried this with my old PocketPC or Palm devices yet.
