Quick Mini Ipod Question
I'm thinking of getting an Ipod for a Christmas gift, however I the person is not great with computers. I saw on the site that it comes with firewire or USB2, of which they have nether. Are the mini's backward compatible with USB1? I think they can figure the ipod itself out, but installing a firewire card is pushing it.
Thanks you! |

One word of warning the interface is crap. Primitive. Try it before buying it

The hardware interface also has a much higher quality feel in comparison to other HD based players of that size. I had a Rio Carbon for a while and it was very difficult to use in comparison. |
Most, if not all, of the newer non-apple players that are shipping now are compatible with Windows Media Player 10 which has an outstanding interface (recently won PC Mags Editors Choice award). With players that are compatible with WMP 10, there no longer is a need to use the player manufacturer's software for ripping and syncing.

I think the iPod interface is great - it just works (like all Apple stuff)!
Microsoft can shove WMP as far as I'm concerned. (And yeah, I'm a PC user). |
