Flat Screen Monitors 110V to 220V
Will I have a problem with a flat screen monitor (dual voltage) if I buy it in the states and use it in the UK?
Thanks..... |
Computers don't send signals to the monitor in NTSC/PAL/SECAM. Whether you can use a particular monitor depends on the power supply of what you purchase. These days most electronics seem to have 100-240v 50/60hz power supplies. Unfortunately, some things don't. I have a Hitachi flat screen monitor here that would work just fine in the UK. Just be sure to check the specs on whatever you purchase before you spend any money!

What xyzzy said, plus most flat screen monitors have a separate wall wart, so if the one that comes with yours won't work on 240 (actually 220-230) then you just buy a new one in the UK.
