Nokia 6820b

Keep it or lose it?

I am on week three of a 30 day trial with this phone with ATTws. I have yet to try the "EDGE", mainly because I haven't had the time nor the USB cable (my SONY PCG-C1VN dosen't have IR) to test.

The only feature which I absolutely love about this phone is the speakerphone. People don't even know that I am using it! And, of course the GSM gets better reception than the crappy TDMA which I have been using.

Thanks for any advice!

Keeping aside it's poor display and slow menu response it's a pretty decent phone. RF is acceptable and EDGE does rock.

Instead of investing in the USB cable why not just get a Bluetooth adapter and use the phone wirelessly on your laptop?

It's a good, solid phone, though if you don't have any use for the extended keyboard you could probably with with a cheaper model. For data you could also use infrared and not have to invest in a cable or bluetooth, though it can be a little tricky configuring your laptop to use IR for the data connection.

I kept the phone because I love the speakerphone. No need for ear pieces, etc.

Can I WiFi with this phone, say at Continental's Presidents Club?

No, but one of the best things about it is the Bluetooth and EDGE. You can get wireless Bluetooth headsets and use the Bluetooth to connect to your computer or PDA wirelessly and use the phone as a modem.
