Sony Vaio Bluetooth Problems
You probably already knew this, but I've found out the hard way... the support for non-Sony Bluetooth devices when using a Vaio laptop is terrible. I have a Navman 4100 GPS with which I was unable to establish a serial connection.
Turns out that Sony has adapted the Bluetooth standards its Bluespace software, which limits compatability. In the end the only solution was to completely remove the Sony software, and skip the MS drivers, replacing it with IBM software. Then it made a perfect connection. Very frustrating. More details on how to do it here . Just words to the wise... |

It's a TR1MP, shame as it's otherwise a great, light little machine. But Scott's right, it affects all Sonys.
