Is it just me that thinks these gadgets are just too funny to wear...? Im currently in SIN and they are quite a fasion statement... people walk around the street with the things on and it kinda looks a little too Star Treck to me. I mean, if you are driving I can understand, but, do you really need to have the things on as you are strolling along Orchard road? I guess Im still a little old fashioned.

The official SE price is $129, stores like Expansys sell them for $99.

Retail stores in the mall will charge as much as $199 for them....

You should look at me when I am using the Belkin bluetooth headset. I should have been an extra in Empire Strikes Back with the look I get in the mirror from that big block of a headset.

I've been using a bluetooth headset since early 2000, I was one of the first with the Special Edition HBH-10 bluetooth kits, so since early 2000 I've looked like a dork :D

So Scotty... do you use your headsets to walk around the street...???

 ;) :D

I shudder to say this but, I got the HBH-10 around the same time as Scott for my T28. Please tell me I'm not as geeky as he is! It was / is a good headset with the exception of the blinking LED at the tip. Which Nut Case in the design team thought that was cool?!?!?

I'm currently using the HBH-60, which while more discreet visually doesn't have other usage features such as a much better warning for a low battery. The HBH-10 gave a warning tone about 10 minutes in advance of giving out. My HBH-60 on the other hand just turns off, no warning, just silence. Leaving me digging through my handbag for the phone to pick the call up.

I'm not allowed out in the open anymore.

My phone doesn't have Bluetooth, so I am still stuck wearing the corded earpiece... looking like Secret Service and not an extra from Star Trek. :(

Although I remember my first experience encountering someone with a BlueTooth earpiece... normally you notice the cord from the phone on their hip to their ear, so if they are "talking to themself" you realize they are on the phone... this guy, dressed rather scruffily did not have a phone visible and was talking quietly, yet insistently that he really needed to take care of "something", I couldn't hear what exactly the something was.
I probably wouldn't have even noticed except that he kept getting more insistent and louder, I finally changed positions to move a little bit further away from him (in case those voices in his head told him to do something else) then I noticed the earpiece and felt like a REAL dork.

In the May issue of Mobile PC, they review three Bluetooth headsets.
Pantronics M3500 - $140 - 3 out of 5 star rating
Step 1150 Bluetooth Wireless Headset - $130 - 2 out of 5 star rating
Bluetrek G2 - $80 - 4 1/2 star out of 5 rating

Thanks to everyone for your replys... but today, I bought the JABRA FREESPEAK 250. Good stuff. Looks good too, the HBH-65 looks too bulky
