Osaka KIX is free

Pittsburgh airport - airside, near the food court in the center. SSID = FLYPITTSBURGH
|
Munich Airport is NO longer free (since the new Terminal came up), however they have a multi network roaming service to allow access to the hotspots.
Bordeaux Airport is free |
Denver and Philly
Both Denver and Philly had AT&T signs for free wireless. I tried it at PHL and it worked fine.
|
Not only is Munich Airport not free, it is quite expensive compared to other places I've tried. I payed approx 9 euros for a couple of hours access today. I couldn't complain about the quality of the service though.

Not necassarily related to airports, but Panera Bread offers free access.
I would also suggest using netstumbler, a new version was just put out today (well, now yesterday)... I would also suggest ministumbler if you have a PDA w. Windows CE. Downloads are on the right side of the page. Also wifimaps is quite helpful in tracking down available access points... although accessing them may not be legal and all. ;) |
Iberia lounges have free Wi-Fi courtesy of Toshiba.
Also if anyone needs it in Columbus, the local coffee house chain Cup O' Joe/Stauf's Roasters has a great free service--plus much better coffee than Starbucks. |
VIE has a free 'trial', but this trial appears to have been free for the last 18 months...
LHR T4's Holideck lounge has free access (supposedly for lounge access only, but there's a couple of seats outside where you can get it...) The K+K hotel chain has free access throughout (wired and wireless). Some Le Méridien hotels have free access (including all the Art+Tech hotels, plus BUD where they curiously charge you to hire a cable, but not for the access if you bring your own...) The Marriott Courtyard at WAW has free access. A friend of mine is involved in a company that is persuading owners of premises next to Starbucks in the UK to set up WAPs that offer free access through a 'shove-an-advert-at-the-bottom' proxy. The Avalon hotel in NYC was merrily giving away wired access for free, as was the monolithic Hyatt in CHI. I'm sure I've used others, but I can't remember them now... |
COS Airport
The Colorado Springs (COS) airport also offers complimentary Wi-Fi... wish more airports would follow suit!

IIRC, Starbucks has those informational packets on the T-Mobile service. If you look at the backside, there is a password to try the service free for 1 hour.
|
Jetblue terminal at JFK has it...
|
Might not be of much use to many people, but the Pacific Regency Hotel in Kuala Lumpur has free wireless internet access - works well too.
