Photo classes in LA?
 

I just recently bought a new SLR camera for a trip to Africa and would like to find one of those one day photo classes for Nikon cameras. The shop where I bought the camera doesn't have one anytime soon, nor any of the other stores that offer classes, nor Nikon School which travels around the country. Do any FT'ers out there have a recommendation? Thanks a lot.

You might search for a local Camera Club or Society. I'm sure they would have some info on local classes.

If you bought the camera from Samy's they may offer to teach you the ins and outs.

Otherwise I have a friend photographer who may be willing to teach you if you are interested.

I attended a couple of the Nikon School sessions. They are informative, but nothing special. In any event, its a good chance to be able to learn how to use your equipment and have a couple of good photographers that can share some of their wisdom with you.
