I'd also go the Pixel Watch 4 route. I have a P10 and P4W (and had the 9/3, and 8/2, and 7/1) if that tells you anything.

Do you use Oura for any other tracking besides sleep? Oxygen sensor?

Oura is perfect for me and I do train with it so nice to see the zones I hit. Also, it knows I’m gonna get ill before I do get ill, a nice touch.

for females, it does work better in terms of cycle tracking etc.

speaking of Fitbit, Google just released a Fitbit air which competes with the WHOOP for $99/£84

Ultimately, it's nice and shows interesting info but I don't really know what to do with the info. Also I don't think it's worth the subscription cost so I'm definitely not going to renew in a year. I like the Oura ring idea, but again, not sure what to do with the info.

yeah whoop isn’t my favourite tracker. Ring is best for me due to just being on a finger and doesn’t get in the way when sleeping.

I remember seeing a post and Apple Watch won in most tracking categories, so….

If you want even more data analysis that you don’t know what to do with, check the Bevel app. :p

Well... only a couple of days in and not sure what to think on the Garmin. Yesterday it didn't even make it 24 hours on a charge. It's already used 17% in 8 hours today.

I highly encourage you to lurk around various internet forums. Garmin's own here: https://forums.garmin.com/ and Garmin subreddit is also very good: https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/. I read them regularly. Maybe you tried to test or turn on various functions. Maybe the firmware is not up to date and the watch is not trying to update. I would also recommend to shutdown and restart. One function that takes a lot of battery is 24/7 PulseOx. I turn it off. Connecting to phone GPS also takes some extra battery and complex watchfaces, too. But I can remember when I started and everything was turned on, which I later turned off. I can go from 100% charge to 10% in 10-14 days with the Venu 3 and I do not leave it plugged in, until it gets down to 10%. Good Luck.

Mine never does. But overseas, I am sometimes asked to take it off and put it in my carryon.

Something is definitely amiss. You should definitely be able to get more than 24 hours on a charge. My Garmin Venu X1 gets a week to 10 days or more on a charge. I agree with bkramt1 's suggestions of trying a reboot and looking at what settings/services you have enabled on the watch.

My Fitbit Versa does not. However most of the time I take it off and put it in my backpack along with my wallet until I get through the WTMD.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 7. I'm not a fitness nut or anything. It tracks my activities and sleep well enough, I suppose. I've been able to upgrade for cheap from previous iterations, although it seemed like Samsung has put an end to that with the Watch 8. The 8's form factor is a bit ugly, so I'm happy with my 7.

I just went through security at YYZ with my Garmin Venu X1 on my wrist and it didn't set off the security alarms.

TSA says my Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 won't set off the metal detector, but I loathe potentially getting the beep and having to go back, put my watch in a tray, and try again. Therefore, I put my watch in my backpack or zippered jacket pocket along with the rest of the things that's usually on me.

I don't recall my Samsung Watch 7 (44 mm) ever setting off a metal detector at either airports or courthouses. At some foreign airports, however, I was instructed to take it off before going through the WTMD.

Ms KRSW has a dying Fitbit and could use a good pick-me-up (her life and health haven't been great lately). She currently has a Samsung phone which I'm replacing with a Pixel phone when I give her the new watch.

Garmin stuff is really solid if you don’t want Apple. Battery life absolutely destroys most smartwatches and the health tracking is pretty damn good too.
