In the US, Google translate (the app) has had this feature for many years (long before ChatGPT even existed). I've been using it for at least 5 years. I find their translations (mostly Swedish, Finnish, Dutch, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Thai) to be pretty good. I suppose one could do this with AI too, but I don't have a use case. It's actually interesting to watch G Translate work through something it sees live, you can see a bit about how it thinks about it before overlaying the text in your chosen language.
