I've been using ChatGPT to translate anything I can't figure out - the difference in quality, context and accuracy with google translate is night and day, but there is a hassle of taking a photo and uploading it and then waiting for a translation - then once the photo is uploaded, I can have a conversation about the content. Also google translate makes mistakes when any type of script, or handwriting is used vs a known or standard typeface.
What I was hoping for was a live translation tool, like google translate, where I can point the camera at something and then see translation and context (whatever I've prompted for), appear on the screen in real time. I guess that tool doesn't exist, technically. |
