Charger keeps falling out of socket

Does anyone have a hack for keeping a charger plugged in during flight? My USB cable often slips out of the in-flight entertainment unit and if I plug my charger into the outlet, the outlet is often loose so the charger slips out.

what do you all do to make sure your charger (AC or USB) stays plugged in??

Particularly on US/Canadian domestic flights where 99.9% of stuff that gets plugged in is a type A plug, a works wonders for worn "universal" outlets. A UK or Indian adapter works even better, but those take up a lot of space in your bag.

Not much you can do for the USB port. If it's clapped out, it's clapped out. But who wants slow charging anyway?

I don't even try anymore. I use my own external battery pack to charge my phone while on the plane and plug that in as soon as I get to my rental car, hotel or home. If I was going to be on a really long flight I would probably pick up a European charging block just for that.

Same here. I no longer plug my devices into the airplane outlets. I have a power bank that can charge multiple devices, so I just use that.

Google "snug plug for outlet" - it's a little plastic piece that goes into the socket before plugging in - $1 each in packs of 10, so if you leave one behind on a plane, it's no big deal.

Glad it was edited before folks started asking for seat numbers where they are left behind :)

How easy is it to remove one of these?

We really should make a sticky for this topic. This seems to come up at least 1-2 times a year.
