T-Mobile PlusUp Data Added Travel Feature

This appeared yesterday morning on my T-Mobile ONE account as generally a replacement for ONE Plus Promo on 10 of my 12 voice lines. Oddly, 2 free lines got it, and 2 didn't???

Here is a copy & Paste description from my account:

"With PlusUp, you get HD streaming, 20GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data, and 2x the data speeds abroad (compared to the Magenta plan) in 210+ countries & destinations. PlusUp also includes these great benefits: Unlimited in-flight data on Gogo-enabled flights to, from, or within the U.S., Identify and help stop likely scammers before you ever get the call with Scam ID and Scam Block. Caller ID included. Get even more control with Scam Shield Premium – create favorites and a personal block list, manage call categories like telemarketers, get voicemails texted to you automatically with our Visual Voicemail app, and more. Video streams at up to 1080p when HD Video is enabled. On all T-Mobile plans, during congestion, a small fraction of customers using >50GB/mo. may notice reduced speeds until next bill cycle due to data prioritization. Coverage not available in some areas."

The major differences I noticed are hotspot increased to 20Gb from 10, and GoGo inflight data from 1 hour to unlimited use. I only fly 8-10 times a year, and fewer airlines have GoGo it seems, so that doesn't matter much. I seldom use hotspot, so a big yawn there also.

On the morning of 5-6-22, all PlusUp Data service had been removed from all lines on my plan. The former ONE Plus Promo was restored as the data service. This was what had been in place prior to PlusUp being added. There is no PlusUp option available for choice currently.

Looks like a little experiment by T-Mobile. I am wondering what will come of it?
