UK MIFI Hotspot options?
 

HI,

Traveling from the US to the UK in May. I looking for MIFI hotspot options for pickup (ie LHR terminal 3, Paddington station) or delivered to hotel. Any suggestions?

Can't you use your US mobile phone as a hotspot. Or, even if you switch out your US Sim for a UK Sim, still run the phone as a hotspot off the UK Sim's data plan?

I was thinking it would easier to use MIFI device since there 3 of us traveling together. Do you have recommendations for a UK service? Thanks

Local data sims or esims are so inexpensive now, easier to get them individually, why bother with a mifi as you have to be tethered together.

The best way to get a MiFi type device is to use a time machine to go back to 2012 and get one from one of the many overpriced hotspot rental services that existed then. :)

If you've all got eSIM capable phones, Airalo will sell you a month with 3, 5, or 10 GB of data for $10, 15, or 22.50 respectively. If you don't, prepaid SIMs are cheap and relatively easy to get, including by ordering off U.S. Amazon or eBay before your trip.

ETA: other than some super low-budget phones, most phones sold in the last 5 years in North America support the big 3 LTE bands for Europe, so there's no need for concern there.
