Recommend a Windows speech recognition program

I find myself needing a decent Windows speech recognition program. The one native to Windows 10 is awful (lots of comments to that effect via the Googles). Have tried two different mics and done the speech recognition training. Still awful.

Any good alternatives?

My father and PIL have used the dragon products for several years very successfully. These are NOT tech savvy people like most of us, but the ability to have the app learn quickly, learn the speech patterns quickly, learn and add new words easily (often industry specific scientific jargon) and have the user be able to do it fairly easily is what keeps ME happy. It’s not cheap, between 99-150$ for personal use depending on which program one goes with.

they used to have a 30 days NQA trial so it can’t hurt to give it a try.

Dragon for years has been the best of a mediocre bunch. I have some staff using a recent version, and they feel they get about 95% accuracy after thorough implementation/training.

Use a freeware editing program like Grammerly to minimize transcription oversights.

Thanks!

Dragon Home is $200, which is not happening, although it does sound excellent.

For gmail, found this extension https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...lated?hl=en-US
In replying to two emails, it got my dictation 100% right! Now if I can find something similar for the Outlook web client (which I despise but which my job forces me to use).
