Document scanner app for Android

I'll be out of town when my next proofing job comes, and I'll have to scan pages with corrections to a PDF file, typically around 30 pages. Any recommendations for an Android scanner app? I prefer free since I doubt I'll use it more than a couple of times. Or is this kind of app more trouble than it's worth and I should just find an Office Depot instead?

CamScanner.

I use MS Office Lens though I think it may have a page limit.

I downloaded camscanner to find out it's free for only the following three days--when I don't need it--and it's too expensive for a two-time use in a couple of weeks.

Been using the free Camscanner for years. After 3 days it reverts to a version that leaves a small watermark, and you lose their document storage perk (probably some other features, but whatever they are I am not needing them). Used the free version yesterday, on a Samsung phone it was loaded on 7 months ago.

Besides scanning work product, it's also incredibly helpful to scan and store important documents so I can always access them digitally (after I upload them to Dropbox) and receipts (in case I ever lose the physical copy).

Another vote for MS Lens. Works very well and allows you to adjust the scan borders.

I've had decent results with the scan feature built in to Google Drive and better results with Genius Scan.

AFAIK the free version limits your ability to export or share the files as easily, but you can still save it to your phone and then attach it to an e-mail, upload to Drive, etc. after saving.

The free version doesn't watermark stuff and if you choose to pay for the app it's a one-time payment rather than a mandatory subscription. It doesn't have as many PDF-editing features as CamScanner, though.

Ding, ding, ding. This one is a winner. Thanks to all of you who recommended it.

Is MS Lens any different than using OneDrive's built-in scanner?

BTW, I used to use CamScanner. It was good. Stopped when it turned out the app was filled with malware. (Google removed it for awhile from the Play Store)

I personally use Simplescanner

I use Adobe Scan. They push you to use their cloud storage (paid), but you can bypass that and send the PDF straight to yourself (or wherever).

Personally I avoid CamScammer. Their business practices are extremely suspect, they have been riddled with Malware and have predatory subscription services IMO

On iPhone, I love Scannable by Evernote (no account required).

On Android, I've used:
  • MS Office Lens
  • Google Drive's built in document scanner
Initially Office lens could not create multi-page PDFs but now it can. The Google Drive option is excellent, especially if you use Google drive as a repository for your scans.
