Iphone 7plus power bank - lightweight

I would like to buy a powerbank for my Iphone to carry in my purse. I don't want a very heavy one. Does anyone have a recommendation. We are off to Japan and I want to make sure my phone is charged for lots of photos. Thanks.

I'd recommend this thing:
https://www.apple.com/shop/product/H...ry-and-charger
It is futureproof (will support fast charging on newer phones), functions as a charger AND a battery all in one.

Alternatively, they have a cheaper version:
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Portable-Charger-Foldable/dp/B01K702S66/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=anker+power+bank&qid=1554841114&s=gateway&sr=8-16 https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Portable-Charger-Foldable/dp/B01K702S66/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=anker+power+bank&qid=1554841114&s=gateway&sr=8-16
which will work great with your current tech.

Or Small and Cheap:

A Little more capacity but heavier:

I bought this one for my wife's iPhone 6s back in 2017. Since then she has switched to iPhone 8 and now using iPhone XS. This is still in her purse for emergency. It is nice because it is small and light and you charge it with the lightning cable also. Most of the other power bank you have to charge it with micro USB. When I got it back in 2017, it was only $15.99.

The down side is that it will only charge up the iPhone once. So you will have to keep it charge every night if you use it up daily.

If you really need it, look at the bigger capacity and the possibility of "double" charging the power bank, ie, it charges it simultaneously (2 inputs), thus significantly shortening the charging time ... because, depending on the capacity, it lasts over 12h. ..

The Wirecutter usually has good reviews for this kind of stuff:
https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/be...d-power-banks/

The only thing I don't really like about their reviews is that they take a kind of "cost is no object" approach, so take a loot at all of their "also great"/runner-up choices - sometimes these will only differ from their top choice on some minor point but cost a fraction the price.

We have several of these, and they are a nice weight/capacity compromise.

There is a new version, though it's marginally bigger/heavier/more expensive with the same capacity -

Not sure about in TN, but up here we have a "value store" chain called Miniso. Their stuff is more expensive than a dollar store. But they do carry some nice powerbanks (up to 10k mAH). As I have mentioned in another thread, I would carry two of them while out. One for use, one charging in the hotel room. If you manage to drain them fully, you could be out of one for quite a while.

One thing to remember.... you can't use the storage capacity to directly calculate how many chargeups you can do... if you need to calculate, take the max value, subtract 20% then divide it by your battery size.
