Bluetooth Audio Receiver / Transmitter

My travel companion and I have several trips planned and would like watch movies/shows simultaneously from my MacBook Pro. We each have the Bose QC35. I've scoured Amazon and have found some devices that supposedly receive a BT signal, amplify it (some) and transmit multiple signals via Bluetooth. I don't see too many mentions where it works with the QC, only to suggest that Bose as subject to audio lag because of some platform that they don't subscribe to.

Is anyone doing this successfully, or have any ideas (other than cords)?

I have this device:
Amazon Amazon

I use it on planes to transmit the audio from the AVOD system to my Bose. However, given the relatively small, low-resolution screens, I don't really notice any lag. I was worried about that when buying the device.

As to connecting two sets of headphones at the same time, I don't know if that'll work.
