AC/DC Powerbank
Not talking about the band.
I have seen powerbanks with a low wattage 110V output come down in size to make bringing one along on my trips a feasible option. Does anyone use one? Can you share which one and your experience with them as well as the feature that you wish you have paid extra for? These are the ones that I found on Amazon that I am considering: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07546KNVC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A2KUZVNQ9LP7N9&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBJX99D/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?smid=AE0PT0KZ16QG0&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0116BX968/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?smid=A49KN7XXTTMUE&th=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073P81Z9V/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?smid=AX0BPKZH3NYP4&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0743F3NDF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_8?smid=A24YZRQFCBA9TK&psc=1 Thanks in advance for your opnions |
I've been eye balling this one

remember to check your airlines/tsa/airport- most have limitations on batteries
typically <100W (no need for special approval) and 100-160W (with approval), max of two, carry on only |

I would personally go with the Ravpower (first in your list). I love all my Ravpower branded products, and the price is certainly right. One downside of these batteries is that they need a special charger. I believe the new Anker Powerhouse 200 will use USB C Power Delivery as an input mode, which lets your phone/laptop possible share a charging brick with it.

The price point is also a better choice compared to the other two on Amazon choice list. |

The special charger is an issue for me as well, if it can be USB'd it would be great.
The price point is also a better choice compared to the other two on Amazon choice list. Using a USB 5v/2.4A to recharge a 100Whr battery from dead will take 8+ hours Usb-c/PD can deliver more, but you have to look at the specs and charger to make sure everything is compatible |
Even if you intend to bring along a battery with a capacity greater than 160Wh (only the last one in your list exceeds this, 27000mAh is just about 160Wh at typical USB voltages) using a medical equipment exemption you'll be having to contact each airline on your itinerary for approval each time you want to travel, which is going to be eternally troublesome. Bringing two packs of 20000mAh or 26000mAh, if you really need that much power, would remove the need to notify any airlines.

Although I have medical requirement noted in my DL personal record, Air Asia and smaller outpost security might have issues. Also two packs will reduce single point of failure scenario. |
I went with the omnicharge 20 (second item on your list) and I am loving it. I appreciate the direct DC out which works perfectly with my surface book as well as the flexibility to use a standard AC output if needed. I looked around quite a bit and had a very similar short list to the OP but ended up spending the money to get the flexibility I wanted.

1 company Web site and user feedback 2 from photo it look like a good design for travels. 3 looks solid from photo 4 other DC options besides 110VAC and USB, efficiency not going to 110V AC and then back down to EC Thanks for sharing the information. |

What is the most powerful I can buy?
Do you plan to take it on an aircraft? (if so the most powerful is limited) How do you define powerful? (total capacity, peak output, continuous output, other criteria) |

I'm purchased the Jackery Explorer as well as ChargeTech last month for my CPAP machine as well.
ChargeTech uses its own power supply to charge so I switched to Jackery Explorer. But right now my 2 Jackery Explorers both stop working around 25% and then my CPAP machine stops and I wake up. I need to press the button again on the Jackery to start and it works again. So I may go back to the ChargeTech that has a longer life as well. |
