Showtime Anytime now supports downloads

While in Europe, I saw that the latest update of the app. Supports downloads so I downloaded the latest eps of Billions and Homeland.

You can select 720p or 1080p as well as a lower option and it appears to download even when iPad goes to sleep or the app. Is backgrounder, unlike the TiVo app.

Tried 720p downloads and Homeland looked good -- other than the ridiculous plot.

Nice, keeping up with the joneses, but this will be nice for binging on Homeland and Billions (and don't forget the Circus) on international trips.. hopefully, it won't require a call home to continue to work after say 14 days.

Well there's a big bug.

Any time I try to delete a recording, the app. crashes so you can't delete.

On a flight now so maybe it won't crash once I have an authorized (US) IP address?

It's awesome except no support for memory card makes it not so useful for me with little free memory on tablet. And Showtime no longer supports my Kindle HD 8.9 since all it does is tell me I need an update and there is no update for that model.

Well,I can delete downloads once connected back to the mothership.

So great for watching on long flights but you have to have a connection with a US IP (as in vpn) to delete recordings to clear up space on your device.
