Quick Kindle?Amazon Pricing Question
OK, why should the Kindle version of any book cost more than the paperback version of the same book when the seller in both cases is Amazon?
Prices are determined by the publisher and Amazon. That's all I can tell you.
Amazon's latest eBook distribution deals for the most part give publishers the right to set prices. And for the most part, these publishers have jacked prices, leaving eBooks far more expensive than their print counterparts, for which Amazon sets the prices.
Competition. Prices are determined by supply and demand, not by cost. We can buy printed books many places, but we can buy Kindle format ebooks only from Amazon.
