Another Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Technical Question!

I think I am tired of this phone already.... ready to go back to the iPhone! :)

I had to reset my phone to get rid of an annoying error I had reported in another thread about 2 months ago.

I did the reset... and now my contacts include everyone on my Facebook... and anyone I ever sent an email to.... I only want my contacts that are in my Outlook mailbox.

How can I eliminate the Facebook/Email list syncing?

I searched... and trying unclicking "Sync" but cannot get rid of those thousands of entries in my contact list.

Thanks in advance as always!

William

Go into Settings -> Accounts -> click on Facebook -> uncheck what you don't want synced on your phone (like contacts)

I had done that initially.... but it is still syncing with Facebook.... and anyone I have ever sent an email to...

Sign into GMail and look at the contacts view. It's possible that all your Facebook contants got pulled into Google. If so, you're either going to need to (A) turn off contact sync on the google account, or (B) delete them or move them to an invisible group.

Alternatively, if it didn't happen. and it really is just showing the Facebook contacts, remove the Facebook account. I'm pretty sure on the recent Samsung Galaxy phones the Facebook account that gives the option to sync contacts is for the TouchWiz social integration features and is separate from the regular Facebook app. If I'm wrong about that, you may need to also clear data for the regular Facebook app and sign in again.

"Everyone you replied to" if it is on the exchange account sounds like an exchange integration level feature, and is probably something you'll need to configure on that account (although it could also be contacts getting sucked into the Google contacts; if you see them there, see my first point above.)
