Batterypack in carry-on?

I am planning to carry a battery pack in my carry-on on a DL flight. Any issues? I bought my first pack recently and don't have any experience carrying it..

I've carried my Anker battery packs on multiple airlines and through many airports both domestically (USA for me) and internationally and I have never had a problem.

how big is this battery pack? Like 5000 mah?

I've carried on 10,000 mah packs without issue.

Better in your carry-on than in a checked bag.

Never had a problem, I usually have two 4000 mAh mophie power stations, and a spare cellphone battery with me. They really don't want them in checked luggage, so if your carryon is of "questionable" size that may need to be gate checked, make sure to have them in a separate bag that is easy to pull out. Otherwise just keep them in your personal item that would be able to be carried on without issue.

Batterypack in carry-on?

I have a 9000mah that I take with my carryon. Transfered last week thru PEK and it showed up on xray. They looked at it for 5 seconds and said OK no problem.

Can you folks help me with a question about carrying head mics?

I just bought DH a really nice Audio Tech hanging mic. He needs it for giving lectures in foreign venues. It came with a 'receiver' that is about the same size as an iPad but about 4 inches thick. It also came with belt pack. Can he carry this onboard in his roll a board? Thank you!

As long as its off, I dont see why not

As above, not a problem. Just don't be surprised if you get pulled aside for explosive screening or a little closer inspection. I have a bright orange pelican case full of micro computers, networking cables, a switch, hard disks and other gadgets that I carry on some work trips. Sometimes I get passed right through security, sometimes they want to take a look. It all depends on the person running the x-ray.

But that said, the worst inspection I ever had with it was in Macao, where they insisted on pulling EVERYTHING out of the case, including the foam inserts, but finally were satisfied and let me pass right on through. 90% of the time though, no hassle at all.

Also, they watch for your reaction. I think it likely helps that I'm so used to it by now I just sigh and say "Oh yeah, I get this all the time."
