The LG BOGO offer is good since it doesn't require opening an additional line. Had I not gotten two Galaxy S9 phones from Costco, I might have considered LG.

Do you think they are better than the V30? Tough to pass on the BOGO offer.

2. Starting 9/17, T-Mo will be offering Personal Cellspot devices (think Home WiFi Router) that will augment WiFi calling performance substantially.

It's a glorified wireless router that prioritizes WiFi Calling network traffic. It still utilizes your home broadband connection. I was hoping it would be a femtocell with a wifi router built-in. Regardless, pretty sweet it's basically free for T-Mobile customers.
I retired mine about three years ago after finally upgrading our wifi to a mesh system. It sat on a bookshelf in my office, and I kept thinking about taking it to the next electronics recycling event since it's a 9-year-old device. Thank goodness I didn't. I ported out our numbers to Google Fi last week. This week, I received a mailer from T-Mobile requesting that I return the Cellspot router within 30 days or else I will be charged $99. Per the mailer, they also expect you return it in the original box along with the power supply and ethernet cable. They were nice enough to provide a pre-paid UPS label. If you cancel service before returning it, the only way to return it is through the mail. |
