I'm not worried about breaking the *bag*, it's the incompressible 3"x6"x2" bag of chargers creating a stress riser and breaking my *computer* when something heavy gets tossed on top of my bag.

Couldn't you consolidate some of the mifi's? Perhaps using the iPad Mini as a hotspot(since you can use a T-Mobile Ipad on VZW).

Not really, since I use them in lieu of roaming data on the cell phones.

You can often put a tablet SIM in a phone if you don't care about voice.

I need both, but voice more so than data. I dream of a worthy dual-sim phone, but till that day I will soldier on. It's more of an issue in Canada where my Rogers phone has no data than in the US. But it isn't a big deal.

- Apple 5W USB Power Adapter

- {NEW}Griffin "short" Micro USB Cord (chargesLTE Hotspot, bose headphones)
- {NEW}Griffin "short" Mini USB Cord (charges Philips Sonicare toothbrush - when necessary - battery life typically lasts 5+ day trips)
- {NEW} Dual USB 12V charger - supposedly charges 2 tablets. Griffin brand, i think. Someone recommended the Scoche brand - I still think I'll pick that one up, because its a better size than the one I bought. I broke down and bought this one at a Best Buy on the road somewhere.
- headphone-headphone cord (for use in rental cars w/o Bluetooth or usb - rare, but handy)
- Apple (free) headphones. (For use for hands-free calling in rental cars w/o bluetooth. Also rare, but handy to have as backup. Use bose n/c earbuds most of the time, but don't like them while driving.)
- Kenu Airframe (missed updated pic... still there) - cell phone vent mount (absolute luxury item, but can't tell you how handy it is. highly recommended).
- AA battery (backup for wireless mouse - rarely travel w/ wireless mouse, but when I do, nice to have backup battery) / AAA battery (backup for small flashlight i carry in bag)

For anyone interested, I picked this up on Amazon, and have found useful on my last 2 trips. Images outside of packaging above. I don't think I would like this short of cord for a phone charger, because you sometimes need to talk, email, text on phone while charging, or charge from wall outlets. I have been using these to charge my wifi hotspot, headphones, and toothbrush (via laptop usb) - basically devices you don't need to mess with when charging.

Was cheap too, $8. Likely an old product, due to bundle with old iphone style charger.

I saw that kit at Marshall's with a lightning cable instead of the MiniUSB one.

Thats what stopped me from buying the Mophie or Belkin kits. I actually needed the mini-USB cord, for the rare times that my Sonicare toothbrush needs some juice. The toothbrush case doubles as a charger, and uses a mini-usb charger. Shame on them for using mini (not micro?), but whatever.

Lightning cables of that length do nothing for me, I need to be able to manipulate the phone when charging. ^

I use micro more than I use mini so prefer microusb cables and the occasional adapter, such as micro to mini or micro to lightning.

I always take two of these retractable USB micro/mini/apple cable. Don't use apple products, so I just remove that adapter from the end of the cable.

* A bunch of retractable micro-USB cords, and one retractable mini-USB
* 3" mini-USB, 3" micro-USB cord
* Micro-USB OTG to USB type-A cable
* baggie of various memory cards and USB flash drives, SD and MicroSD readers, MicroSD to SD adapter
* General Tools & Instruments 744 Pocket 4-in-1 Mini Screwdriver
* 256gb mSATA SSD in USB3 case.
* mini-displayport to DVI/HDMI/DP adapter

Additional when traveling:
* Wall power adapter for whichever above (day to day, I have chargers where I use it and don't carry one)
* (if flying American, or driving) DC power adapter for the above
* Tablet (either Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 or Tab 3 8.0, rarely both.)
* Logitech M570 wireless trackball (longer trips, mainly for gaming)
* 5 port USB charger
* HooToo TM-02 Travel router (with OpenWRT)

I've also got a couple of things that live in my roll-aboard:
* Various AC-plug adapters
* Retractable HDMI and ethernet cables
* 3-port travel power strip
(Oh, and while not tech, a travel umbrella never leaves the bag either.)

I used to carry a Samsung-specific MicroUSB (actually MHL, I think) to HDMI adapter, but found I never used it.
