Was it in this thread that someone suggested MediaMonkey for playing music and podcasts? I've been using MediaMonkey lately, and I like it a lot, but I have one question: how do you exit? When I stop podcasts and back out as much as I can, it still seems to be running. I hate apps that won't really stop unless you reboot the phone.

Exit usually isn't an option in Android apps. You can always swipe them out of the task list to make them release memory, but unless they're poorly written or otherwise ill-behaved, they will quickly quit using resources when you switch to another task.
