Outdoor Wireless IP Camera

Have a few cameras in the house, for monitoring the baby, well a toddler now, and for monitoring some other areas of the house, but don't have one for the outside.

Any recommendations?

I saw this one on Amazon

Any one have any experiences with it?

I would like one that has pan and tilt, as I think I can cover both entrances in the backyard with it, and maybe a second one for the front.

Thanks

If this thread doesn't qualify for Travel Technology, which I thought it did, as I am using it when traveling, please move to OMNI

Probably outdated, but there is some discussion from the past about it. It's possible that some of the cameras mentioned have newer versions out there.

Yeah, I did the search, but some of the threads are from 2008, and I think technology has come up a long way since then :p

There are many Game and Trail cameras used by hunters and outdoorsmen. Check out Amazon for a wide selection and reviews. (Sorry I don't have any direct experience with them)

look at cctvforum.com in the ip camera's section, lots of good info there. dahua is a good manufacturer for inexpensive but good quality, that camera looks like their 8962 model.

I want one of them for my office, the picture quality is amazing.

Look into cameras with POE as you'll need a power source so might as well go for Ethernet for better reliability.

PoE won't really be of much help for a wireless camera.
