Did I unwittingly expose my home network to the prying eyes of evil-doers?

Well, you directed all your traffic through their severs, but I suppose it's ok since your purpose was not send secured data, but rather to have a Canadian IP to watch a game.

I don't think any harm was done, the IP is registered in Montreal:
