This links to the Lycamobile US rates, I have no clue as to how the US number will work but I thought I had read somewhere that you can still get a local number but you cannot retain it for any great period of time. But I am done with them now and good riddance. Good luck with it.
Where did you read the news about the local number?

Not sure if the sim is working correctly or not, but I can't get it to hold a signal on T-Mobile US. Works for a few minutes and keeps dropping. I was able to access the sim application, and set it back to automatic, but no dice.
