Speech to Text to Speech
Anyone know the Iphone app that you can speak English into and it translates it into text then there is an option to have it spoken into the 2nd language.
Someone showed it to me with Japanese and it worked very well. Not sure if it's available on the BB or Android??? |
I have Google Translate. Lots of fun to play with, but it is also relatively useful. I say relatively because the grammar is not always the best, but it gets the job done.

The "Say Hi" app does both of these things. The only downside is that it requires data connectivity. I've been pretty happy with it.

Thanks. It is on sale now for only 99 cents, so am going to give it a try. May be helpful with patients - we'll see!^ Edit: That is pretty cool. It seems to do a good job in Spanish and German. Speech recognition is pretty good as long as you enunciate. |
