Maybe I don't understand your question.. I had my laptop receivng a wifi signal, and I had the Zuni tethered to the laptop with the short ethernet cable Zuni conveniently provides. With this in place, I could use the laptop to go thru the Zuni set-up screens and after that, I could disconnect the ethernet cable and I had a wifi signal on a private network thru the Zuni, and I could log into that private network-the one I had set up on the Zuni-with any portable device within signal range.

What I could not do was then go use a different incoming wifi signal, incoming to the Zuni that is, without going thru the Zuni set up screens again. This is precisely what one would do in a hotel setting. And I can't go thru the Zuni set up screens again without using that ethernet tether, which I can't do without a laptop.

By the way, I thought I had checked this all out, including a call to Zuni, before I bought the Zuni router, but I apparently missed something. The Zuni csr said they hope to have a router that will do what I wanted in Fall, 2012.

Back to my question-will the Apple App mentioned above help with this?

Thanks, I never got my Zuni set up properly to work at all.
