Business card scanner recommendation?

Hello lads,

Greetings of the season. I am traveling to the UK shortly and want to buy a good BUSINESS CARD SCANNER as a gift for my client.

The client does a lot of business in Asia, so the business cards often have text in English and some other language as well.

Translation from another language to English is NOT needed, however ease of use is VERY important. The client is not that tech savvy.

What do you chaps recommend for me?

Thank You
Long Live the Queen,

Andrew

I have tried several devices, and multiple apps on the iPhone, and have been disappointed by every one of them. For a non-tech savvy person I would try to think of another gift.

Thank you planemechanic!

It is not really a gift, rather a business need, which I am fulfilling via a gift to my client.

Maybe there are some newer technologies out there?

Thanks chaps,
Andrew

I would love to know of one, one that worked 99% or more of the time and synced perfectly with Outlook. But so far, no dice.

Only one I've used and works well is the Neat Portable Scanner. While it is NOT specifically a business card scanner it does handle them well and does work with Outlook.

Probably doesn't meet the "gift" requirement but CamCard on Android phone is nice.

Does a pretty good job and doesn't require a separate piece of hardware. Makes it easy to scan/photo a card when you get them on a trip. Biggest problem in terms of recognition is company name as most of those are designed/stylized and don't get recognized. My assistant scans cards in bulk for me with a high end scanner and that's even a problem with that.
