Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Computer Speakers - Reviews?

Does anyone own these Bose Companion 20 Multimedia computer speakers? They are a pricey $249.00 for a pair and it is one of the few things my sig other really wants for Xmas. I think I'm going to order it from J&R to get the 2 miles/$ and the extra bonus 1000 miles.

I'm wanting to get one. Great thing is its dual voltage for 110v & 240v. It's impressive for what they are. But no matter how much you spend you won't be satisfied.

Well I think he's comparing them to other computers speakers in the general price range - not comparing them to high-quality stereo speakers. He wants something that has good sound, is styling and doesn't look like it's made of super cheap plastic (at least on the exterior).
