Trying to use Google talk/Yahoo chat on iMac and can't see myself on webcam

Was trying to video chat with in-laws in India last night thru Google Chat and Yahoo Talk and I cannot see them, but they can see me. Voice quality was perfect on either end. What am I or are they doing wrong?

They are using PC and I am using a Mac. On my screen, I cannot see myself in the little window and cannot see them in the big window.

In their screen, they can see themselves in the little window and see me in the bi big window.

All suggestion are very much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

In-laws lack of bandwith? Lower quality stream = audio only.

Why are you asking us? Tech support is a local call for them.

“This fellow said, ‘I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, social security, retirement funds, etc., I called a suicide hotline and got a call centre in Pakistan. When I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited and asked if I could drive a truck,’”
