Permissions Problem Using Parallels

I have a folder on my Mac which is not associated with a user account (just sitting on the drive). I set permissions to give everyone (every profile on my mac, admins, 'everyone') full control (sharing is not turned on).

I mapped a drive from my virtual Windows machine on Parallels to this folder and was able to access everything OK - but all of a sudden today for some reason all the folders and most of the files are now 'read only' and I can't save anything.

I went back and reset permissions on the Mac side, making sure every account had read/write, restarted the Windows machine and re-mapped the drive - but the problem is still there.

Anyone encounter a similar problem or have any ideas? I have no problem accessing the files between accounts on my Mac.
