Using a Kindle for email is like using the Internet with a dialup.

I had the unfortunate experience two weeks ago having to check email and tweet from my Kindle, in the end it was manageable.

A Kindle is a slow and cumbersome way to view and send email but it can be useful. When I was in the hinterlands of Thailand and the nearest wifi or internet cafe were several miles away, my Kindle 2 came in very handy for accessing my gmail account.

I recently got a Kindle 3G+Wifi+Special Offers, and found that the javascript is what kills it. I customized an instance of Squirrelmail and it's much faster than m.gmail.com for example.
