So you're an Apple developer and you're spreading mis-information about Android??

I also stated that I was a Java developer, which includes J2ME, Android, Core Java, Java EE, Spring. I know a lot more about Android development. I even had to write a complete library for accessing SQLite on an Android app, because Google wrote some really poor apis for accessing that database.

For my iPhone and iPad, I clicked one button from a Jailbreak solution online and voila, Jailbroken.

But the real FUD in the post before was about fragmentation. And unfortunately, Android is more fragmented than iOS. I can site many many examples. 1) Android devices can have different resolutions, with an iPhone it is just one 480x320 and just one for iPad. 2) Google's apis are constantly changing, every new release of their OS has different apis. It is a work in progress (there are many benefits to this), Google is well-known for putting out products before they are complete. How long was GMail in Beta, for many years with many people using it, as an example.

Back to the topic at hand - I just posted a link showing the Motorola Atrix will also be upgradeable in July. Why are you still spreading wrong information? The HTC Inspire 4G and pretty much every other 4G Android phone should be receiving Gingerbread, at the very least.

If you read my post, I wrote "I think only the HTC Inspire 4G is the only 4G Android phone at AT&T that is upgradable."

I think is not sending wrong information, it is strictly saying that based on what I found only, I could only find proof that the HTC Inspire could be upgraded.

Please, don't put words in my mouth.

I like that you have selective reading. Not seeing "think" and not seeing "Java Developer" in my previous posts ;)

It is nice to see that the Motorola Atrix can also be upgradeable, and I think I also had said something that I thought that to be true in my first post in this thread.

Anyway, thanks for your help, I do appreciate it, and I think we will have to agree that we disagree on what if FUD and where it is being spread and move past that.

Get the Inspire 4G and root it. It's cheap and a really nice device.

Thanks

I thought I saw somewhere that the Motorola Axis/Avis (I forget the correct name. found it Atrix) is getting Gingerbread

We are still waiting for that with no date released from any reliable source. Have an Atrix and waiting patiently.
