android google calendar screwed up in different time zone
Hello. I use Verizon droid2. Based in PHL
Now in sfo. All my calendar events are showing up 3 hours earlier  So the calendar function is useless. sorry I am a total newbie with smartphones....they don't seem too smart right now!! Any thoughts on fixes? My phone does show west coast time now. Switching off and on did not work |
I've got an EVO 4G and use the calendar. I also sync with iCal on my Mac. Everything is stored in the Google calendar(s) online and it works great. You just need to put the time zone on each event you create, and the time will be adjusted as you travel, automagically. I fly back and forth between CST & EST all the time, and have never had a problem!

There seems to be no option to change time zone on the phone

Both show up at the same time on the calendar -- 11am EST. If I double-click the entries in iCAL, the Family test event is for 10am CST and the Personal test event is for 11am EST - so it looks like it "does the right thing" depending on where you look things up. Have you set default time zones for all your calendars at http://calendar.google.com/ yet? |
Thanks. I will check and update later
