Strange Iphone problem
 

Have an Iphone 3GS with the 4.0 OS and am baffled by something.

When I now store a new contact with the name, phone number etc it seems to store OK. But since about 6 weeks ago, when I now try and look up any recently stored contact in either the "Phone" or "Contacts" apps, the newer ones just do not appear in the listings, either first or last name :confused:

Yet they must be stored in the phone, because if one of these new contacts either telephones or texts me, their contact name correctly displays! Yet I can't "see" them in the listings if I try and initiate a call or text :confused:

Anyone else getting this? And anyone know what the problem could be?

I would first try updating to 4.1 to see if that fixes the issue

It's possible you assigned them to some sort of group by mistake, so they dont show up under all contacts. Make sure you click groups at the top of the list, then all contacts
