Firefox- search/tab question
I'm running 3.6.8 and just noticed that when I use the google toolbar for a search it no longer opens a new tab, it replaces the current page. I went to tools > options and the box is checked to open a new tab. How do I downgrade to the previous version?

No need to downgrade.
In the address bar, go to about:config In the page that loads, enter Search in the Filter box In the list of browser settings, you should see browser.search.openintab, which is probably set to false. If you double-click on that line, the setting will change to true, which will cause searches to open in a new tab. (Or at least that appears to fix it on my FFox - YMMV. :)) |
