Torrent question

Hi,

I just downloaded a file that is split into 8 separate torrents. How do I combine them to make the single file that I expected to have?

I am using BitTorrent.

Thanks.

I think the more important question is what type of files are in the torrents? ZIP? RAR? Something else?

They are .rar files

When you extract the files, it will combine whatever needs combining.

That easy? Okay, thanks!

You'll probably need to install something that can extract RAR files (e.g. WinRAR).

On a Mac, UnRARx. Free and simple.

Like others said - install WinRAR, put the RAR's (probably 1 .RAR and a bunch of numbered files) into one directory, then simply drag and drop onto the folder you want the combined file to end up.

Second this--WinRAR has the ability to split a file up into pieces of any specified size. It's very convenient for splitting it up to fit whatever media you might have available to copy it onto.

When you open the first one it goes into the others on it's own, it works like a single file.
