iphone apps.

I haven't got an iphone or a proper smart phone. My mobile phone is an SG-T749 (Samsung Highlight), it's a 3G but I don't use it as a 3G phone. I only use it for making voice calls as I haven't got any data or internet plan.
Consequently, I am totally ignorant about iphone apps.

I am interested in hearing from people who have an iphone and use its capabilities in entirety. I want to hear what kind of apps they think will be useful for an iphone and are not currently available or shortcomings of apps that the have used.

Ideas could be put into a project of developing iphone apps. The emphasis is on travel applications but other domains will be considered too.

Wow! I have been thinking of starting this thread for about a month now, but just hadn't got around to doing it. Thanks for pointing out that such a thread already exists. It's quite a coincident that it was only two days ago. However the second link you pointed to, which is a list of apps does not address the issue at hand.

There are over 100,000 apps for the iPhone now...way too many for most people to have played with.

Most apps are fufu type of game apps, or idle time wasters. There are some nice apps, like Podcasting, media, communication type of apps. Some of the most popular are Facebook, twitter, etc types of app.

I find I use Shazam somewhat regularly to figure out what that song is on the radio. Second to that is using Safari to browse the web on it.

Having a mobile web is incredible. Just having access to all the vast info on the internet alone is a killer app.

As there are a couple other threads available to answer the OP's question this one is now closed.

Thanks,
