Battery-powered wireless webcam?

Anybody know anything about this product?

I need a couple of webcams in places where it would be difficult to get power. Need to occasionally view each cam (probably no more than 5-10 minutes total viewing a day)

Other thoughts?

If you have not seen it, there's a review and sample video on this page

I have been looking for ages for a battery wireless webcam, but I also want sound with it and maybe zoom.

I would love to know if these batteries really last a year or not.

I'd love to know how they define "typical use" in that case.

Ten minutes of viewing or recording a day is what they consider normal usage.

It's not clear to me, but I assume that the camera only turns on when you go to the webpage that has the camera feed?

That's the impression I got, though they keep talking about recording feeds to view later. The FAQ's say to watch out for future enhancements that support motion detection to turn it on, but do not say if that will require new hardware or a software enhancement.

Not sure how that would work, since you can not activate the cameras unless you are connected to the internet, all recordings are stored on their site.

I have one on the way to my home - I'll let you know how well it works in a week.
