Palm T|X and WiFi

A few days ago, my Palm T|X would not connect to the home (WiFi) network. Reconfiguring did not help either. Then I removed it's MAC address from the router configuration and re-entered it, still without any luck. The PDA would find the network but would not connect to it. As the last act of desperation, I did a hard reset on the PDA and reconfigured the network settings but could not connect to the network.
I worried that I might have, somehow, bricked the device.
Finally, yes I know, I called the previous attempt last act of desperation, I turned off the router for a few minutes and turned it back on. The PDA connects with the network without a glitch.
Any ideas what happened? Clearly, the trouble was with the router. All the laptops and XBox could still connect to the netwrok but the PDA could not.
